Inclusive Design Standard

Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to providing an inclusive, barrier-free digital platform for all healthcare personnel.

schedule Last updated: October 2026

1. Commitment to Digital Inclusion

Royal Hospital is dedicated to ensuring that the E-Box platform is accessible to all staff members, regardless of physical, visual, auditory, or cognitive abilities. We view digital accessibility as an essential standard of professional workplace equity.

2. International Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)

The interface is built adhering to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) Level AA. This includes high text contrast ratios, semantic HTML structures, scalable typefaces, and clear focus indicators.

3. Bilingual Typography & RTL/LTR Optimization

The platform incorporates dedicated typography for Arabic (Cairo, IBM Plex Sans Arabic) and English (Plus Jakarta Sans, Inter), optimized for maximum screen legibility. Layout directions, spacing, and iconography automatically mirror smoothly when switching languages.

4. Keyboard Navigation & Assistive Technologies

All core features—including navigation menus, multi-step suggestion forms, and modal dialogs—can be navigated completely using keyboard shortcuts (Tab, Enter, Escape). Interactive elements provide visible focus rings and ARIA attributes for compatibility with screen-reader software (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).

5. Accessibility Feedback & Assistance

We continually test and improve the user experience. If you encounter any technical barrier, difficulty accessing any page, or have recommendations to improve accessibility, please let our team know or submit an accessibility enhancement suggestion via the E-Box platform.
